Cinthya Araújo Gomes

PhD student and holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), where she also obtained a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations. She is affiliated with the Research Group on Strategic Studies and International Security (GEESI/UFPB) and coordinates the Study Group on Military Technology and Weapons Systems (AERIS). Her research agenda encompasses contemporary air power, strategic studies and military innovation; her research focuses on the use of remotely piloted aircraft systems (drones) in interstate conflicts, with an emphasis on the Russia-Ukraine conflict. She serves as a scientific reviewer for the journal Perspectiva: reflections on international affairs and is a member of the Nelson Werneck Sodré Working Group of the Brazilian National Preparatory Committee for the World Youth Festival.
